Remember the rants I have written about “someone” who has kept me in the dark for almost two years?
It was metaphorically written, I must confess. You see I do not want to preempt things and whether it is true or not, I believe that talking about major things in your life will turn it into a jinx.
That “someone” I refer to is the HR Department of the Philippine Heart Center.
I took my qualifying exam in October 2007 and after constant follow on call and visits, our batch was scheduled for series of interviews. HR panel interview was in July 2007. After that, we were informed that we will then be called for the panel interview by the Nursing Service Department. After a month or so, I got a notice that I was up for an interview in August. I breezed through the panel, so I thought and in the last week of August, I was scheduled for the final interview with the head of Nursing Service Dept.
The result was out in the early week of September and I was really thankful to the Lord that He let me in!
The instruction that I have got is do not resign yet from work as there are still no vacancies. So I did until this morning. I got a text from the Nursing Office and I am being asked to resign effective immediately as I am invited to join the 6-month nurse apprenticeship program that will start on October 12th. I am not yet hired but I was told that while awaiting an available slot in the hospital, I can join the apprenticeship program. I can decline and a slot for a nurse position is still reserved for me even so but

Hi nurse shirly! I love ur blog but this entry falls short…I’m really interested in the interrupted part because I applied too for PHC this aug. 2010 and I’m just waiting for the call. I hope your blog can answer my queries! thanks a lot! =D

thanks. so what’s your question? i hope i could be of help. it took me two years to get the call for the panel interview. almost all of us who did not have some sort of “backer” had to wait that long. just be patient and always update them with your contact details.

hi, I am so relieved to have read your blog bec. I will have my first exam and initial interview at phc in just two days and I am feeling so nervous. I have a question regarding the things that will happen next. So, after the first exam and initial interview what will happen next? Is there another exam? I heard somewhere that there will be another exam after the first one. Then the panel interview, then the final interview. Is that right? Oh, and how long did it take for you to wait for each of the steps? My other question is how was the exam like and the panel like? Do I really need to study on certain topics to survive? And my last question is, are you working now already in phc? Thank you very much. I am very nervous because I really do not know what to expect. But I know with your help, I will be somewhat relieved from my anxiety, knowing what will happen next. I really appreciate your help. Thank you so much.

initial interview with hr is easy. no one fails it. you’ve got to have in-depth knowldege in MS for your written exam and panel interview. most of us took almost two years to finish the entire hiring process. I am no longer with PHC but I have learned a lot there. it is a launchpad.

hi,im so nervous because on monday i will take my first exam and interview in PHC and i really dont know what to expect. is it really hard?can i ask what topics should i review?and what questions they ask often in interview? and what will happen after that? im sorry for the long post but im really nervous. thank you. god bless!!

hi there! I’ll be having my inital screening and interview next year. Can I ask what certain topics should i review and what should I expect? I’m very nervous coz it’s my first time to apply in a hospital . Hope you can answer me. Thank you and God bless..
