I am back to work. I was early and able to manage to clean my black-painted finger nails before the endorsement. I had the nicest staff nurse as the bedside nurse, the jolliest one as the charge nurse and the most industrious orderly. It was also the second day of the nurse orientee. This day was one of the lightest duties I have had although the entire toxicity rate of the ward I am in was really nothing compared to that I have had at the Lung Center of the Philippines.
We had our usual cheerful and welcoming rounds. If I were a patient, I would feel really welcome and relaxed when entertained by this pack of nurses.
One thing that I have learned from my mentors is to build rapport with the patient. You need to interact with them during rounds and when wheeling them to and from the laboratories. In almost a month of being in that ward, I should say that I was at 95% compliance.
Since I felt so recharged, I was extra nice to the patient. In my second and last part of rounds for vital signs taking, I complemented an elderly patient for her pleasant and relaxed appearance. I did not know that she was due for discharging that day. After an hour, I just saw her being wheeled out of her room by her caregiver while the trolley was being pushed by her son. I then took the wheelchair from the caregiver’s hand and wheeled them to the lobby. I still managed to carry out a pleasant conversation with them. While waiting for their ride, the patient asked me who will wheel the trolley and wheelchair back to the ward, I said I will. She kept on thanking me until their car arrived and she grabbed my hand and stuffed money in my palm. I politely declined but she insisted.
Yeah, it must be nothing to them but it meant a lot to me. I know by the look their eyes that they were satisfied with our service. Too bad, I learned from my charge nurse that she forgot to ask the patient to fill out the patient satisfaction survey. To me, it is way important to see a well-filled out survey form than to get monetary reward.
Funny thing is, this is a kind of business where you could not say, hope to see you again!
Way to go!

My friend’s shout out message in Facebook says she needs sweater, scarf and electric blanket this Christmas. It turned out that it is constantly raining in SG and it is a bit chilly there. I do not know but I have a feeling that this trip will not turn out fine. I just hope that this negative feeling will rub off of me. This is supposed to be an unplanned vacation.

Our flight is scheduled at past 6:oo am today. I really do not know that exact time. I have not gotten any sleep yet and I do not have plans of dozing off until we boarded the plane. I feel a bit wobbly right now and I want to pump up my senses with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. If did not a caffeine kick this very instant, I will be needing a safety harness just to get me to the plane.

Since my first ever out of the country trip was unplanned and was paid for by a good Samaritan, I did not have enough time to raise funds for it. I mean the plane ticket and accommodation were covered but the food and tour extra fees should come out of my own pocket. Being a foodie in a place where a peso is equivalent to 0.0297169 SGD, I need to think more than twice before sinking my teeth into something that is gastronomically appetizing. So in my stay in Singapore, I need to some sort of pop in some appetite suppressant just to make sure that I won’t be breaking my piggy bank.

Bugs are everywhere. Just when I have just erased my spam comments, a whopping 200 plus comments have been posted on my site. Afraid to turn my site into being a bugged down one, I opted to get an online backup especially that I will be away for a couple of days. For sure, there will be internet access in Singapore, what I am not sure of is if I can afford to pay the WiFi access.

Apart from destructed homes, people who have been hardly hit by typhoon Ondoy are also worrying about fixing their cars. For one, most of them did not avail of the Acts of God insurance coverage so the best that they could do now is to salvage whatever they can from what the catastrophe has left of their automobiles. Some are lucky that their cars can still run and all they have to do look for good yet affordable car accessories.

I have been using Pond’s eye cream for quite a while and I should say that it has been effective in reducing my fine lines. My crow’s feet are no unnoticeable. While I chose to keep this genius product, I am still testing on some products that will end up to be the best wrinkle cream for my entire face. This way, I could b forever young.

The hospital where I am currently working in is a government institution and I am surprised to learn that the suite rooms cost range from 3000 to 4000. They have the regular and premier categories and the only difference as I have been told is that the living room in the premier has patio cushions that serve as the cherry on top of the ice cream

This is crazy! I am actually beginning to panic. This will be my first time to go out of the country and I am not excited at all. My brother-in-law’s uncle has asked me to accompany my brother-in-law’s mom in Singapore.
The trip and accommodation was free but why I am not excited? Because with the recent cutback in my paycheck, I cannot afford to go even out of town. The package only included tours and breakfast so other expenses would be on me. Of course, I would not let them pay for everything. I wish they has availed of the myrtle beach vacation rentals so everything was all set.

I was able to control my diet and shed off some pounds. My love handles have been reduced but genetically I am blessed with fats in the middle area. This is why I am still in search to the best way to lose belly fat because the holidays is near and before I turn into something beyond recognition, I need to pull my act together
