I was able to watch Charice Pempengco sing the national anthem on TV during P-Noy’s inauguration. Her rendition was impeccable and I applaud her for that. She did not give me a hard time listening to it as she sang it not a gazillion high octave. I actually begin to like her. From being a hater, I am now a believer (not fan yet). What I disliked about her that day was her outfit. There has been too much going on on her gown that it ate her whole. It seemed that she dived into a lake full of weeds and it all clang to her when she got off the water. It other words, her outfit needs some aquatic weed control to tame it.

Agree with all your observations. She did sang it correctly, humbly and respectfully (according to our laws). Good job! As for her gown, it took me a while to decide that the sleeves were made to resemble P-Noy’s yellow ribbon symbol – my initial thought was they were scrolls. It could have worked if the ribbon at her waist was removed or minimized. Then I reviewed her interviews on YouTube (her arrival interview the day before) and she said that Kris Aquino already had a gown made for her as a gift. So I guess it was Kris’ decision.

So it’s Kris again. She cannot help but become a backseat president.
Thanks for the visit. Hope to seeing your comments more.
