It is undeniable, it is summer! The temperature outside soars up to 36°C. The scorching heat makes anyone else sweat an ocean. I just envy my nieces who can beat the summer heat in the pool heat pumps. They really enjoy soaking in the water and did not mind their fingers and toes getting all crumpled. I wish I were still a kid.

It going to be Mother’s Day this Sunday and I am still without a present for the most important woman in my life. I am so time constrained that I do not have the time to go to the mall and hunt for the best present for my mom. I am now faced with the last but certainly not the least resort that is online shopping. I am thinking of getting monogrammed mothers day gifts and I am pretty sure that my mom will appreciate it. She is, like me, into fashion too.

My recent trip to Singapore was energizing. Although we were just two during the flight, meeting new people and unfamiliar places added thrill to the experience. I did not bring my camera with me and just relied on my niece in capturing the happy and funny moments in the Lion City. I tried to stuff my mind with beautiful memories and I hope to keep them forever. I wish I had pallet racks so I could display everything that was stored in my mind like a pensive that I could share with my friends and loved ones.

I finally got my dream stethoscope. My dear friend in the US played Santa for me this year and decided to throw in $100 inorder for me to get most wanted cardio stethoscope. I really do not want to spend beyond my means that is why I try to contain myself with the things that I have. I do not want to live in debt as I know how it feels to be living from paycheck to paycheck. My friend agreed that I could pay the rest of the tool’s cost on my term. I really love having friends who are willing to do things to make you happy.

It is the time of the year for the kids. One of the best gifts I am thinking of giving my nieces are battery operated toys. I have fun seeing them tinker with stuff that stimulates their curiosity. There are those who are already packaged with duracell procell d so I would save up on getting separate batteries. I can’t help but think of the Duracell battery commercial on TV where two boys are trying to impress a girl using toy cars.

My nieces and I will be meeting their mother, my sister, in Makati later. My original plan was to bring my eldest niece to SM MOA to go ice skating but my sister just asked me instead to bring the girls to Ayala Ave to see the Christmas lights display there. She thinks that the kids will love them and it will save us money. My sister works for a jewelry shop in Manila Peninsula and I learned so much form her about different type of jewelry pieces including the baraka jewelry . I never knew that jewelry making has evolved throughout centuries.

It is gift giving season already and I am all crammed up thinking of what to give away to my beloved ones. I do not have the time to hop in malls although I have specific gifts in mind. I want to relax on my days off that is why I am considering getting funny t shirts online, have them personalized and just wrap them in dainty wrappers. I am sure that everyone in my family would love the treat.

It is September 1st and it is the first day of “ber” months leading us to December 25th which is Christmas Day. Christmas is one of the biggest holiday celebrated around the world. As early as one people this side of the planet are trying to beat the Christmas rush by starting to complete their Christmas gift list. Kids gifts are the on the top of everyone’s list as children are the center of this special occasion. I, for one, have so many god children and nieces to give gifts to not that I am complaining. Seeing the joy in every child’s eye as he opens his Christmas present is priceless.
