What is more stressful about having a vacation away from office is thinking of what to bring your colleagues back. Being a Filipino, it is an unwritten rule to think of bringing anything for relatives, friends or colleagues. As I checked on backwoods cigars price, I began to stuff my loot bag with it. Although I am a health advocate, I took the liberty of handing them down to very special people thinking that they would not light them.

In general, I would rate our out of the country vacation an 8 out of 10. We might have come across some bumps along the road but we managed to find joy in it. Although the place we stayed in is far from the OuterBanks rentals that are being offered elsewhere, we have had decent place to stay in. At the end of the day, it is not about the leisure but it is about the pleasure. I would not have it the other way.

While I was watching after my 2 nieces who got hospitalized due to systemic viral infection, another stress-inducing situation popped up. My sister who just arrived from our home to the hospital and just went out to buy us some food, got a text from our nanny saying that there is a huge fire going on in the neighbourhood. She immediately called me to inform about the mishap asking me to stay in the hospital while sorts things out.

A few minutes, she texted me that the fire nearby has been contained and was declared fire out. I really pity my sister and now that the kids are out of the hospital, I wanted to give her something to say Thank You for being the best mom there is. I am looking forward to buying her Mother’s Day flowers online

Technology becomes cheaper everyday. When you walk in the mall, you could people in every walk of life flashing their gadgets while chilling at one corner. Here at our home, my nieces enjoy the advantages of the WiFi technology. They love to thinker with our mini laptop or their mom’s i-Phone in surfing the internet looking for games.
We have this special day called Cyber Monday when all of the family members are surfing the web using our laptops, desktop and cell phones.

I am planning to extend our vacation in Hong Kong so as to maximize the opportunity to get around the place and to shop not just for ourselves but to get stuff for selling here. My sister and I are planning to buy women’s apparel that we could sell online. I am really excited for this first family vacation.

I have started to start on being thrifty in preparation for the spending that will face me abroad next year. Apart from my day job, I am thinking of other ways to earn money. I am eyeing on being a private duty nurse on my days off and on grabbing any small business opportunity that will come my way. I need to have my credit card cleared of debts so I will have buffer on our vacation or for any emergency that may arise from here on.

I am really excited! I was able to book flights to Hong Kong! Cebu Pacific has this Halloween offer that cuts down its airfare for domestic and international flights. The promo is until tomorrow only and the flights offered are from January 1 to March 31, 2011. I have been dreaming of getting my nieces to the happiest place on earth. As a child I have been wanting to go to Disneyland that is why I did not let this opportunity to pass. I will just be checking on other travel deals so I could get better accommodations.
This is going to be the first time that I will be celebrating my birthday outside the country.

It started with our house help. I thought that she just has a fight with her lover that was why her eyes were swollen and red. It usually happens to her. Until my youngest niece’s eye got red too. She was brought to an ophthalmologist and was diagnosed to have conjunctivitis or sore eye. A weeks had passed but her condition got worse causing her right eye to almost close. She then again brought to the eye doctor. She was given with another optic drop and a few days after, her condition improved but too bad the contamination has been transferred to her mom. Her mom’s eye were both affected and a few days after,my pre-schooler caught the disease and then the contamination was transmitted to her dad.
Conjunctivitis is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, the tissue that lines the inside of the eyelid. This tissue helps keep the eyelid and eyeball moist. Pink eye or sore eye is highly communicable since it is caused by bacteria and viruses responsible for colds and other infections.
Signs and symptoms include discomfort in the eye described as feeling of sand in the eye, redness in the eye and some manifest swollen eyes with discharges similar to a pus.
Transmission occurs by touching an infected person or something an infected person has touched, such as a used tissue. Pinkeye can spread when people swim in contaminated water or share contaminated towels. It also can be spread through coughing and sneezing. Due to its contagiousness, isolation is initiated to avoid transmission of the infection.
In order to avoid cross contamination, everyone should practice proper handwashing. Also, infected people should not share eye drops, tissues, eye makeup, washcloths, towels, or pillowcases with other people.
Wash towels and other linens that the child has used in hot water separately from the rest of the family’s laundry to avoid contamination.
Cool compress will also help relieve swelling and discomfort.

Hopefully I won’t catch the disease.

I got a text so early in the morning from my co-staff nurse. It’s her dad’s birthday and was asking for the chicken recipe that we had at Toastbox. It was chicken rice I told her. She also asked for a gift suggestion for her dad. I just tol her that her to buy a home brew kit gift for dad which is available at the mall.
