I learned from our HR department that being a probationary employee does not require me to contribute to government agencies like the Social Security System and Pag-ibig Fund. This kind of alarmed me as these two are vital to me. I was informed though that I could make voluntary contribution but I have to remit the payment myself. I really wanted to continue paying my share especially the SSS as this will cover my social security disability

Being a nurse does not just begin with vital signs taking and recording, patient assessment, medications and does not end with charting.
The nursing reponsibility involves knowing the disease process the medications, its mechanism of action, side effects and the precautions.
A female in her early 30s was admitted with complains of right upper abdominal pain. Tests revealed that she has cholelithiasis and cholecystitis.
According to medterms.com cholelithiasis is “the presence of stones in the gallbladder or common bile duct. The process of formation of such stones. From the Greek roots chole, bile + lithos, stone.”
On the other hand. cholecystitis refers to the “inflammation of the gallbladder, a complication of gallstones which are formed by cholesterol and pigment (bilirubin) in bile.”
Bile according to answers.com is a bitter, alkaline, brownish-yellow or greenish-yellow fluid that is secreted by the liver, stored in the gallbladder, and discharged into the duodenum and aids in the emulsification, digestion, and absorption of fats. Also called gall.
There are a few doctors who are thoughtful enough to share the diease process to the patients. So they (patients) end up at a loss as soon as the doctor steps out of the patient’s room. Most of the time, the nurses are the one being asked about for the information they need to know.
My patient was informed by her attending that she needs to undergo explore laparoscopy to remove the gallstones in order for the bile to have patent way to the colon. Otherwise, gallbladder will be filled with bile and sign and symptoms will worsen. Chronic gallstone disease may lead to fibrosis and loss of function of the gallbladder and predisposes to gallbladder cancer.

During my preemployment physical exam, the doctor asked if I were smoking and he was surprised to hear from me that I used to smoked. I told him that I quit in 2006 and I did not further discuss the reason behind it. I was not a chain smoker but I experienced smoking at least 10 sticks in a day. I only tried light cigarettes and I did not even try cigars much more the Acid cigars

Since my first ever out of the country trip was unplanned and was paid for by a good Samaritan, I did not have enough time to raise funds for it. I mean the plane ticket and accommodation were covered but the food and tour extra fees should come out of my own pocket. Being a foodie in a place where a peso is equivalent to 0.0297169 SGD, I need to think more than twice before sinking my teeth into something that is gastronomically appetizing. So in my stay in Singapore, I need to some sort of pop in some appetite suppressant just to make sure that I won’t be breaking my piggy bank.

I was able to control my diet and shed off some pounds. My love handles have been reduced but genetically I am blessed with fats in the middle area. This is why I am still in search to the best way to lose belly fat because the holidays is near and before I turn into something beyond recognition, I need to pull my act together

For the first time in 10 years I get to enjoy the long weekends. November 2 has been declared a holiday. Accompanying my addiction to Stairway to Heaven, the local version, is a menu suitable for a couch potato like me. My interest in refreshing my memory about its original Korean version has been awakened. I am doing the marathon of it now on YouTube. So while having a recap of this tragic melancholy, I am stuffing myself with foods that will surely go straight down to my belly. With my physically demanding work and with special consideration on my budget, I do not think I could hit the gym anytime soon. So instead of jumping on the bandwagon of shedding off love handles overnight, I do my cardio workout in the hospital. All I have to do is to run while wheeling the patients to and from the laboratory for their work ups. These short sprints are absolute fat burners without draining my pocket

The only drawback of my resignation from my post, if there would be any, is the insurance coverage that I have lost. I know that there is always affordable life insurance around but still, my faith is stronger than ever and I know that God would be my shield against any danger in this world. He knows that my heart beats for something else and the pulsation of this reality has been trying to escape my chest for the longest.
I have my mindset. I have my dreams. I have my desire. I had to breakaway.

I am unable to control my voracious appetite and good thing about the apprenticeship program is that it requires glucose overload in order for my brain to function. This way I do not have to think about apidexin as an altertative to losing some pounds. The training is a bit intensive that it requires more than basic analytical thinking as we are about to deal with people who are having heart conditions. Not only the program will prepare us in becoming staff nurses at the PHC but our licenses are in line whenever we handle patients.

Part of the requirement for my apprenticeship program is the chest x-ray to ensure that none of us has a communicable disease. Although I have gotten mine about 2 months ago, I decided to have the test to ensure that I have not contracted any lung disorder when I was at the Lung Center of the Philippines.
After three days, I have gotten the result of my x-ray and I am pleasantly surprised to see that I have normal findings. After being exposed to pathogens, I only have God to thank for keeping me safe.

Desperate to find cure for my most feared side effect of steroids, I have spent the whole night surfing the internet. There are tons and tons of acne products out there making promises of zapping even the most stubborn zit on the surface of one’s body. I am now in limbo deciding which one is the best for me. More choices means more worries. I hope my fingers would lead me to the right one
