The dorm has been undergoing section-by-section renovation. The ceiling on the hallway and the light fixtures are now presentable and they engineering team has started on renovating the other side’s bathroom. My confusion about the renovation of each room has been addressed when I asked one of the engineers how to go about it. He just said that we should request for that at the administrator’s office and they will allocate a day to finish all the repairs including the replacement of the blinds. I am really excited about it and I am willing to volunteer to stay in the room just to the repairs done.

Along with the literal drum rolling, I have come to learn that the people bringing in the steel drums are also the water filter supplier water filter supplier. While on our way home, my co-staff Chris has asked me why I am not staying at the dorm. I just told him that I am not really comfortable staying there plus the fact that there is constant hammering and screw bolting here and there. Sleep is the most luxurious activity for me and I am trying to savor every minute when I have the opportunity to shut my eyes.

I am a Lysol kid. I have a Lysol in my locker, in my room and in the dorm. I cannot stand holding a door knob because I know that it is the filthiest spot on the planet most especially the faucet knob. I do not dare touching it without tissue on hand or spraying Lysol on it. I do not care if it is Grohe. I would not dare touching it if I am aware that it is contaminated.

Little by little, I am sprucing my space in the dorm. I have bought a wall hanger that will serve as space server. The problem is, the hanger just collects dust in the dorm unused because I need spring plungers to mount it on the wall. At the moment, my towel and bathrobe are hung on a hook mounted on the door of my closet.

One thing (out of a million) I do not like about staying in the dorm is that it does not have entertainment room. I am a couch potato and I feel a bit jumpy when I do not have TV nearby. I just need to hear the sound of TV and it does not have to be my favourite TV show being shown.
We could bring our own TV sets in the room for a minimum fee but since we have limited space in the dorm, we need to maximize what is available.
I am now looking for tv stands that would fit my little space in the dorm. That way my reasons for not staying there will be lessened.
